ITS A POWERFUL TIME TO LIVE IN, BOTH THE BEST AND WORST IN HISTORY. THERE IS SO MUCH PAIN AND MISERY, YET NEVER CERTAINLY IN MY LIFETIME HAVE I SEEN SO MANY PEOPLE TAKING CONTROL OF THEIR PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES. RE EVALUATING AND TRANSFORMING THEIR LIVES AND AWARENESS OF SELF.

SO HARNESS YOUR PERSONAL POWER. STUDY MORE, CHANGE MORE, SHARE MORE AND BE THERE FOR OTHERS MORE. WE ALL NEED EACH OTHER. ULTIMATELY ALL WANT THE SAME THINGS. THATS WHAT THIS TIME IS ALL ABOUT. LEARNING, TALKING, GROWING.

SO THIS WEEK THINK ABOUT THE THINGS YOU WANT TO LEARN FOR SELF IMPROVEMENT AND MAKE A START !

CHANGE IS USUALLY A GOOD THING A CHANCE TO MAKE A FRESH START TO DO THINGS IN A BETTER WAY MOVING FORWARD AND TO LEARN PAST LESSONS.

FACING YOUR FEARS

THERE ARE MANY QUOTES AROUND BUT FOR SOME PEOPLE FEARS CAN BE CRIPPLING AND GIVE RISE TO HIGH ANXIETY. I AM SURE THAT THERE IS NOT A PERSON READING THIS THAT DOES NOT HAVE ANY FEARS.

JUST BY FACING YOUR FEARS IT CAN GRADUALLY REDUCE ANXIETY THE MORE YOU REPEAT THE EXPOSURE. ALSO DEPRESSION CAN BE REDUCED AND CONFIDENCE INCREASED. IF YOUR FEAR IS A GENUINE PHOBIA IT MAY REQUIRE A LARGER ACTION PLAN OR EVEN PROFESSIONAL HELP.

SO THIS WEEK MAKE A LIST OF YOUR FEARS. JUST BY WRITING THEM DOWN CAN HELP. BUT NOW SELECT ONE TO FACE HEAD ON AND SEE IF YOU CAN TAKE A SMALL STEP IN CONQUERING IT. YOU WILL FEEL AN IMMENSE SENSE OF ACHIEVEMENT AND START TO CHIP AWAY AT THE MONSTER THAT IS HOLDING YOU BACK.

YOU MAY FEEL THIS IS A PUNISHMENT THIS WEEK BUT TAKE THAT FIRST SMALL STEP AND I PROMISE YOU IT WILL FEEL LIKE A REWARD.

QUIT COMPLAINING !

We probably all find something or someone to complain about every single day. Every time we complain it sows some negativity seeds within us. Even when it is deserved and we feel it is empowering us it is exhausting to complain. So let us try to avoid it this week or even just for today. One day at a time ……maybe?

So, today when you feel tempted to complain about the weather, a friend, politics your aches and pains. STOP. Instead of giving in to moaning or getting irritated let it pass. See what it does for your mind and spirit to let it go without comment. Also the people around you benefit too !

PEOPLE WATCHING

Grab a coffee and sit in a pavement cafe and just watch people walking by and going about life. Everyone has their own stories . Construct their stories in your own head. Their fears, their insecurities, financial difficulties, their strengths, what makes them laugh, when they last cried. are they happy with themselves, with life. Their battles and their victories. Backgrounds and professions.

This can really change the way you look at others and understand we are all pretty much the same and we all want the same things from lives and face similar challenges.

I feel this weeks lesson is very important in the current political climate when we all seem so angry with people that we do not know and we all actually want the same outcome.

Lets be more forgiving .

CLOUD GAZING

Today I want you just to stop and take time out of your day . To gaze up at the sky. Even better if you can go and lie in a field and watch the sky for some time but even 5 minutes finding a quiet space will do . You can even do this in a busy city centre but a large crowd may gather and wonder what you are looking at. Wouldn’t it be great to involve everyone in your exercise.

Clouds can be mesmerising and fascinating to study. The different formations, shapes and familiar patterns. The movement of the clouds are they moving fast or slowly. The contrasting of white clouds on a blue background or the dramatic dark rain clouds approaching. Think of yourself on a small plant with the large expanse of the sky surrounding us.

Today take time out to just contemplate the sky let yourself get lost in it. This is a form of meditation.

  • JUMP IN SOME PUDDLES
  • GO TO A PETTING FARM. STROKE SOME ANIMALS
  • WATCH A FAVOURITE CHILDHOOD FILM
  • MEET A FRIEND FOR KNICKERBOCKER GLORIES AND JUST GIGGLE.
  • CHALLENGE SOMEONE TO A GAME OF CONKERS
  • FLY A KITE
  • MAKE A MEAL YOU ENJOYED AS A CHILD EG FISHFINGER SANDWICHES, INSTANT WHIP

HAPPY BUDDHA MEDITATION

Meditation is important in everyday life but I realise its not possible to always fit this into your busy schedule. So, today Im going to gift you a 5 minute meditation to do each morning to start your day the right way !!

Find a quiet place, standing with feet firmly rooted to the floor. Total silence concentrate on your breath.

STAGE ONE

Stretch arms up to the light . Inhale the light through your outstretched palms and top of your head. Visualise that the sunlight flowing through you has positive, spiritual and healing energy in it. As you body fills with light right down to your legs. Start to exhale. Visualise the light flowing down through your feet into the earth. Return your arms to your sides.

STAGE TWO

Stretch arms up to the light. This time inhale energy from the light through your palms and the third eye (mid-eyebrow point). Once again flood your body with light taking it down to your feet. Then exhale bouncing the light back up through your body rushing through your internal organs liver, intestines, heart, lungs cleansing them and filling them with light . Let the light leave through your palms and your third eye. Arms to your side.

STAGE THREE

Stretch arms up to the light. Visualise the light entering your palms and third eye again flooding your body with warmth and goodness and positivity as you inhale slowly. When your body is full of light start to exhale slowly. Now visualise that the light is swirling in a spiral manner up through your body collecting negative energies. Getting rid of harmful chi and sickness, negative thoughts, forgive people. Let the light exit your body through the three main points as it leaves all the negative energy is instantly and permanently burned up. Arms to sides.

Now you are ready to go out into the big wide world …..protected.
